What is Mercury in Retrograde? I keep hearing people talk about this and I don’t get why its such a big deal. They say you shouldn’t schedule meetings and things?

Yes, believe me, coming from a girl that had Mercury in retrograde affect her hard core last year, follow their advice and be cautious during that time period. It happens three times a year. The planet Mercury which rules communication basically does a record scratch and starts moving backwards. During this retrograde period all lines of communication get really funky. For instance, when Mercury was in retrograde last July, I had a number of things happen to me in one day. I was fighting with my boyfriend, my meetings at work got cancelled last minute, and then this woman put her car in reverse at an intersection and rammed the front of my car! I couldn’t believe it. This year I had a similar experience but with electronic purchases that got screwed up. Sometimes, you cant control deadlines with work and you have to have meetings or buy electronics, but you have to expect that some things will go haywire. Try to plan that a number of things will get screwed up that way you have a backup plan. I always double check meeting times, save receipts for purchases, save emails, just keep records and lines of communication open at all times.
